I’m Phil Spark, an Operations Development Consultant. I help education organisations improve what they deliver, and help schools and group organisers worldwide find UK learning experiences that fit their students.

From programme design and daily delivery to the experience a student takes home, I work on both sides of international education.
Hands-on help with operations, academic and activity programmes, supplier and agent relationships, team support, new centres and process improvement. I can diagnose a particular problem or stay with a project through implementation.

I’ve worked in English language teaching, centre management, operations and provider relationships for more than 25 years. I can review a defined challenge, lead a development project, support a busy team or build a process that people can actually use.
My work joins commercial promises to educational quality and practical delivery. That means looking at the whole experience: the student, the group leader, the agent, the centre team and the suppliers who make it possible.
How I can work with you
Take a clear look at a centre, transfer system, programme or client problem; identify what is happening and agree workable changes.
Develop a new centre or partnership, shape an offer, coordinate suppliers and help the team put the plan into practice.
Bring practical support to leadership, communication, training and operational systems during change or peak delivery.
I undertake much of the consultancy work personally. For projects that need additional expertise or capacity, I can bring in experienced professional contacts from my wider network and agree the right team with you.
For schools, agents and organisers across the world. Early July and one-week stays are an initial focus, but I can discuss other dates, lengths and group needs.

I’ve taught, managed and developed education programmes in the UK and overseas, and worked with people from many cultures and markets. Outside English began as a way to offer flexible language learning and study travel solutions. EduRec Ltd provides the established business home for this next chapter.
I’m interested in the relationships behind good work: understanding what a school or provider actually needs, making sensible promises and following through.
